Trappist Delight!
Event Date 11/03/10
Gordon’s Fine Wines & Liquors presents their “Trappist Delight” beer tasting event that will have any beer snob in pure bliss. A Trappist beer is a beer brewed by, or under control of Trappist monks, many which are from Belgium. The ales of Belgium are commonly thought to be the finest examples of beers in the world. Breweries like Duvel and Van Steenberge are instances of this excellence whose lineage can be traced to the monastic tradition of the Middle Ages. Gordon’s Fine Wine & Liquor’s “Trappist Delight” event is an exploration of these roots by way of a walk-around tasting of beers from all seven of the certified Trappist breweries currently in operation (including the Abbey of Saint Sixtus, commonly referred to as Westvleteren). Don’t miss this chance to compare and contrast some of the best ales in the world (Achel Extra, Rochefort 10, the legendary WESTVLETEREN 12, plus many others!).
Light snacks will be served to keep you from getting too into this religious experience. Tickets are $25 and this 21+ event is limited to 50 attendees. Hurry and reserve your space today!
