Col. Teresa (Terry) H. O'Donnell
Col. Teresa (Terry) H. O'Donnell has retired from the U.S. Air Force Reserve after 25 years of faithful and honorable military service to the nation.Prior to retiring, O'Donnell served as the senior reservist for the Capability Integration Directorate assigned to the Electronics Systems Center, Air Force Materiel Command at Hanscom Air Force Base, Bedford, Mass. In her position and capacity, she led the Reserve program supporting capability planning, capability development, modeling and simulation and enterprise integration for the Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Enterprise.Throughout her military career, O'Donnell was assigned to Hanscom Air Force Base, and Rome Research Site, Rome, N.Y., where she served as a very-high-speed integrated circuits insertion engineer assigned to the Electronics Systems Division; an antenna research engineer at the Rome Air Development Center; the selective service officer, Area Office Manger; speech encoding engineer, Rome Laboratory, Technology Assurance Office; the information security engineer, Air Force Research Laboratory Technology Office; the individual mobility augmentee to the commander, Air Force Research Laboratory Detachment 3, Battlespace Environment Directorate; the senior reservist and individual mobilization augmentee to the director, Information Directorate, Air Force Research Laboratory, Rome Research Site, N.Y.; the senior individual mobility augmentee, Cyber Technology Transfer, Information Directorate, Rome; and senior reservist, Capability Integration Directorate, Electronic Systems Cent er, Hanscom Air Force Base.Some of her major military decorations include three Meritorious Service Medals, two Air Force Commendation Medals, the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Selective Service System Meritorious Service Medal, bronze, the National Defense Service Medal with star device, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; and other organizational and personal accomplishment awards.In her civilian occupation, the reservist is a senior scientist for Arcon Corporation, Waltham, Mass., where she researches evolutionary inspired antenna and metamaterial design. Additionally, she was the owner and lead developer of IntelliKids, a home-based toy design agency in Billerica, Mass., and a founder of Thin Client Technology, formerly in Franklin, Mass. She is from Chicopee, Mass., but resides in Billerica. O'Donnell is the daughter of the late Lena Hohol and the late Marion Hohol, both World War II veterans who served in the U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Army Air Corps, respectively.Her husband, Patrick Alan O'Donnell, is the son of Albert O'Donnell of Sleater-Kinney Road N.E., Olympia, Wash. She and her husband have two daughters named Kelly and Tracy.The colonel graduated in 1981 from Chicopee High School, and received two bachelor of science degrees in 1985 from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge.
