Civilian Andrew S. Pacheco
December 08, 2010(FHTNC)--Civilian Andrew S. Pacheco, son of Suzan L. Lenling of North Dartmouth, Mass. and Scott F. Pacheco, of Acushnet, Mass., recently enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps under the Delayed Entry Program at Military Entrance Processing Station, Boston, Ma. The program allows recruits to enter the Marine Corps and take up to one year to complete prior commitments such as high school. Using recruiter as mentors, this program helps recruits ease into the transition from civilian to military life. Pacheco will report to Recruit Depot for active duty to undergo basic training in Parris Island, S. C. or San Diego, Calif. Pacheco is a 2009 graduate of Fairhaven High School of Fairhaven, Mass.
