Jeff Lopez

Jeff Lopez has been promoted to the rank of sergeant major in the U.S. Army.Lopez, a bassist and composer with 17 years of military service, is assigned to the United States Army Field Band at Fort George G. Meade, Md. He is the son of Marion Lopez of Keegans Lane, Staten Island, N.Y., and father of Melody Lopez of Metacomet Road, Hanover, Md.His daughter, Julia Lopez, also resides on Metacomet Road, Hanover, The sergeant major graduated in 1981 from New Dorp High School, Staten Island, N.Y., and received a bachelor's degree in 1985 from the Berklee College of Music, Boston, Mass.
