Air Force Brig. Gen. John W. Doucette has been promoted to the rank of brigadier general in the U.S. Air Force.Doucette is the commander of the 36th Wing at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam. He also serves as deputy commander, Joint Region Marianas. He is responsible for the well-being of more than 8,500 military and civilian personnel on Andersen AFB and assists with installation management for Joint Region Marianas.He is the son of Roger and Dorothy Doucette, and brother of Sandra Maxfield, both of Harrisonburg, Va.He is the grandson of Raymond and Lucy Doucette of Waltham, Mass.He is married to Janette Doucette.Doucette is a 1984 graduate of Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Okla.The general has served in the military for 25 years.Source: Armed Forces News Services
