Concord ShelfGenie Owners Honored at National Convention
Local business owners Jeff Cohen and Raffi Iskenderian of ShelfGenie, a company that designs, builds and installs customized Glide-Out® shelving systems, were recently announced Franchisee of the Year at the company’s 2011 national convention in Atlanta, Ga. Cohen and Iskenderian were presented with the highest honor – reserved for owners exemplifying exceptional performance, contribution to the system and active community involvement – in front of their peers at the ceremony on June 10.
After receiving the award, Cohen said, “Building a business that is able to help so many people has been a tremendous experience. We are so thrilled to have received this award.” Iskenderian added, “We are passionate about serving our communities and helping our customers. We are honored to have been recognized for what we love to do.”
Cohen and Iskenderian met while at Capital One’s Home Improvement Financing Division where they offered financing options for home improvement projects such as roofing, siding, and basement waterproofing. Experience in home improvement business concepts provided an excellent background to launch a business designing and installing Glide-Out shelving units, which provide convenience for both aging senior populations and homeowners looking to maximize spaces in homes.
