Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston Elect Jeff Bellows to Board of Overseers

On October 4, 2011, Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston held their 117th Annual Meeting. Two Directors and 15 Overseers were elected to the Board, including Jeff Bellows, a resident of Hingham.

Jeff Bellows is the Senior Director of Corporate Citizenship for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA). In this role, Mr. Bellows has led the Corporate Citizenship team with the focus on enhancing the company’s reputation through strategic community investment, focused volunteerism, effective outreach to community organizations and environmental sustainability activities. He also is an Adjunct Professor in Communication Studies at Emerson College, teaching a course on the interplay of media, politics, policy and advocacy. Mr. Bellows has over 15 years’ experience in marketing communications and public relations, having held executive positions at Global Public Relations & Marketing, United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimac Valley, Thompson Financial ESG/Omego LLC and City Year, Inc. He earned his B.S. in Marketing from Boston College and his M.A. in Communications from Emerson College. Mr. Bellows serves as a Chairman for the Boston Givers Group, an Advisory Board Member for Massachusetts General Hospital for Children, Capital Campaign Committee Member for the Mattapan Community Health Center, and Advisory Board Member for Room to Grow.
